Emperor’s Chair - Ishigaki & Yaeyama

Emperor’s Chair in Ishigaki is a solid intermediate dive, peaking at 17 meters. It’s named for a large, chair-like rock formation that sits on the seafloor. We’ve found the currents here can be a bit frisky at times, so good buoyancy helps. You’ll often spot plenty of anemonefish tucked into their homes and schools of yellowfin goatfish patrolling the sandy patches. It’s a reliable spot for a relaxed dive, without being overly dramatic.
