Why dive here
With 262+ marine species recorded in the area - including bull sharks, humpback whales, seahorses, sea turtles and clownfish - Dream Hole offers some of Okinawa Main Island's richest cave diving.
Dream Hole is one of those Okinawa sites that really delivers on the drama, even if it’s a bit of a local secret. You’ll descend into a narrow crack, then follow the light down to about 27 meters, where the actual "hole" opens up into a larger chamber. The real magic happens when you look back towards the surface; the sunbeams piercing through the entrance create this incredible, almost ethereal glow. It's a relatively short dive, mostly about that one spectacular light show, so it’s perfect for intermediate divers who appreciate a good photographic opportunity and don't mind a bit of a tight squeeze on the entry.
