With 262+ marine species recorded in the area - including bull sharks, humpback whales, seahorses, sea turtles and clownfish - Ginowan Marine Center offers some of Okinawa Main Island's richest diving.
Ginowan Marine Center is a convenient shore dive, especially if you’re staying close to Naha and want an easy entry. The maximum depth is a shallow 10m, making it perfect for check dives or getting comfortable again after a break. You'll often spot some juvenile reef fish darting between the rocks and a scattering of hard corals on the sandy bottom. We like it as a casual afternoon dip, maybe when you don't feel like a boat trip. It’s certainly not Okinawa’s most spectacular dive, but it's reliable and accessible for beginners.
