With 262+ marine species recorded in the area - including bull sharks, humpback whales, seahorses, sea turtles and clownfish - Sand Way offers some of Okinawa Main Island's richest diving.
Sand Way is a relaxed drift over a gently sloping sandy bottom, usually starting near a small reef patch before opening up. It’s perfect for newer divers, offering a chance to practice buoyancy without much distraction. Keep an eye out for garden eels poking their heads from the sand and flatfish camouflaged on the bottom. It’s a good calm checkout dive, or somewhere to shake off the rust.
