Tanicha Tower - Okinawa Main Island

Tanicha Tower is a decent dive, a pinnacle rising from the seabed up to about 18 meters. It’s not the most dramatic site around Okinawa, but it usually delivers a reliable show of schooling fish, particularly fusiliers and often a few schooling batfish hanging around the top. The coral coverage is pretty good here, lots of hard corals, which makes for a pleasant drift around the structure if there's a gentle current. We like it as a second dive when you’re looking for something relaxed, maybe after a deeper trip. Intermediate divers will feel comfortable, and it's generally a pretty calm spot.
