The team at DiveTravel are a solid choice if you're serious about your PADI journey, especially if you're looking to go pro in South Korea. We see them as more of a career launchpad than a casual dive shop. They’ve built up a reputation for thorough, meticulous instruction, which is exactly what you want when you’re pushing for that Instructor Development Course. Their specialisation isn’t just about getting you wet, it’s about making you a competent, confident leader. While their main office is in Seoul, they run most of their open water courses and IDC programs out on the East Coast. We actually prefer this setup, as it means you’re not spending precious dive time commuting from a city centre. We've always found the East Coast dives, particularly around Goseong, to offer a different kind of beauty than the tropical spots. Think dramatic underwater topography, often with vibrant soft corals and some surprisingly large nudibranchs. Visibility can be a bit variable, especially after heavy rains, but on a good day, the light filtering through the kelp forests is genuinely stunning. Our favourite time to dive with DiveTravel is late summer or early autumn when the water's warmer and the typhoon season is winding down, leaving calm seas and decent clarity.
