Noma Dive Center - East Coast

The team at Noma Dive Center have really carved out a niche on South Korea’s East Coast. If you’re serious about developing your dive skills, especially if you’re thinking of going pro, this is a prime spot. They’re a PADI 5 Star IDC centre, which means they’re set up to take you all the way from open water diver to instructor. We love that focus; it means the instructors here are living and breathing dive education, rather than just running a few casual fun dives. When we’ve been out with them, the briefings are thorough and the boat runs smoothly, often heading to one of the four local sites. We’d suggest going in late spring or early autumn for the best visibility, which, while not Caribbean-calm, is perfectly good for spotting nudibranchs and smaller temperate species in the kelp forests. It can get a bit chilly, even in summer, so a good 7mm or even a drysuit is a smart move. Our favourite part about diving with Noma is their commitment to continued education; you feel like you’re truly learning something new every time you get in the water.
