SOUTH PACIFIC QUEEN - Northeast Coast

The South Pacific Queen, a dredger that went down in Typhoon Abby back in '86, sits right on the Northeast Coast. It's a shore dive, which is always a plus for ease, though the entry can be a bit variable depending on the tide and swell. What you get is a decent wreck, pretty broken up now, but still substantial enough to explore the ribs and steel plates. We often find schools of rabbitfish darting through the structure, and the occasional lionfish tucked into a crevice. It’s a good spot for a relaxed afternoon dive, especially if you're keen on finding critters hiding in the metal.
