Franciscus - Santiago

Cowley Rock, up in Alaska, isn't your typical tropical dive, but it's got a raw, rugged charm we really appreciate. You're looking at a rocky reef here, with a backdrop of that cool, dark Pacific water. We often spot massive sunflower stars making their slow crawl across the substrate, alongside green sea urchins tucked into crevices. The kelp here can be surprisingly vibrant, and if you keep an eye out, you might even catch coho or pink salmon streaking by, especially in season. It’s a good spot for divers who enjoy cooler water and are keen to see what the northern Pacific truly holds.
