Malahini Dive Centre - North Malé Atoll
The team at Malahini Dive Centre are precisely who you want leading your dives in North Malé. We’ve always found their operation to be smooth, efficient, and genuinely friendly – a real sweet spot if you’re looking for a relaxed vibe without sacrificing professionalism. Our favourite thing about diving with them is their knack for finding those quieter moments at popular sites. We’ve been to Banana Reef with Malahini on days where other boats were bumping shoulders and they always seemed to drop us just a little further along the wall, letting us drift into the action rather than swimming through a crowd. They’re a PADI 5 Star outfit, which means solid course offerings and well-maintained gear, but it’s their local knowledge that truly sets them apart. We love that they’re keen to show off the smaller stuff too, not just the manta rays and reef sharks. One particular dive stands out, exploring an overhang where we spent twenty minutes just watching pygmy seahorses sway on a gorgonian fan, all thanks to their eagle-eyed guide. If you’re staying in North Malé and want a dive centre that feels more like diving with friends than a commercial operation, these are your people.
