UDive Centre Mahe - Inner Islands
The team at UDive Centre Mahe are your go-to if you’re staying on the west side of Mahé, especially around Port Launay. We love their relaxed, professional vibe, and the convenience of diving straight from the resort. They're PADI 5-Star, so you know the training is solid, whether you're taking your first breaths underwater or moving up to Advanced Open Water. What makes them special? For us, it’s their proximity to some genuinely stellar sites like the Port Launay Marine Park. We’ve had some cracking dives there, drifting past granite boulders encrusted with orange cup corals, watching marbled groupers eye us suspiciously from their crevices. Another favourite is Turtle Rock, where we often spot hawksbill turtles grazing, completely unfazed. Visibility generally holds up well here, usually 15-20 metres, and the water is bathwater warm. They’re great at tailoring trips too. If you’re keen on seeing specific macro life, just ask; we’ve found their guides have an eagle eye for things like leaf fish or ghost pipefish tucked into the gorgonians. If you’re staying at Constance Ephelia, it’s a no-brainer, but even if you're a short drive away, UDive is worth considering for their access to these west coast gems.
