Chole Reef North - Mafia Island
Gorgonia Boca Chica, a quick 15-minute boat ride from the shore, sits at a comfortable maximum depth of 24 meters, making it a good spot for a relaxed dive. We've often found average visibility here around 22 meters, giving you a decent view of the reef's character. The site itself is full of crevices, which we enjoy exploring for the critters tucked away inside. Keep an eye out for the yellowhead jawfish peeking from their burrows and the orangespotted filefish drifting by; we also regularly spot schools of grunt and the occasional barracuda cruising past. It's a solid choice for a casual dive without too much fuss.
