Alte Badanstalt - Istria Peninsula

The Mini Blue Hole, not to be confused with its famous Gozitan counterpart, offers a pleasant, albeit less dramatic, dive. You'll find it tucked away, a smaller, circular entry point leading into an open-ended cavern. It's a relaxed spot, often good for a second dive or if you're looking to escape choppier surface conditions elsewhere. Inside, we’ve often spotted black gobies clinging to the rocks and plenty of Mediterranean tapeweed swaying in the gentle surge. Keep an eye out for painted combers too; they're usually darting amongst the rock formations. This one suits divers who enjoy a sheltered environment and exploring geological features, rather than chasing big pelagics.
