Katedrala - Kornati Islands

Katedrala, or ‘The Cathedral’, really does live up to its name, at least in feel. You’re descending into a cavern, an opening in the rock face, and it feels impressively grand. Light streams in from above and through the main entrance, illuminating the water column and giving the whole place a natural glow. Look out for cowfish, often hovering near the entrance, and you’ll likely spot plenty of damsel fish darting in and out of the rock formations. We’ve also seen some sizeable common spiny lobsters tucked into crevices here, so bring a good torch. It’s a pretty easy dive, suitable for most comfort levels, and a nice change from open reef.
