KWS Diving Center Bibinje - Kornati Islands

Kornati is always a good idea, and the area around KWS Diving Center Bibinje is a solid pick for some classic Adriatic diving. We love that the visibility here often pushes past 20 metres, making those rocky drop-offs really pop. You’ll be swimming through schools of blotched picarel, a shimmering cloud that parts as you pass, before spotting a nursehound tucked into an overhang. Keep an eye out for slender seagrass meadows, the perfect spot to find common cuttlefish doing their camouflage dance. It’s not a drift dive, typically, but you’ll find gentle currents that keep things interesting without being a workout. Our favourite thing about Bibinje is the sheer number of red mullet digging in the sand; they’re everywhere, and quite unfazed by divers. We’d suggest going in the late morning, after the early boats have cleared out, for a calmer experience. This spot is great for photographers who like wide-angle shots of gorgonian fans and the occasional greater weever darting past.
