Vassilios T - Vis & Biševo
The Vassilios T is our pick for a standout wreck dive in Vis. You drop down, and the stern of this cargo ship just materialises out of the blue, a proper ghost ship sitting upright on the seabed. We love how intact it is; the mast still stands, reaching up towards the surface, and the railings along the deck are clearly visible. Swimming along the main deck, you can peer into the cargo holds, now home to schools of small fish that dart in and out of the shadows. There are big conger eels tucked into every dark crevice, and we’ve seen some decent scorpionfish camouflaged on the hull plates. It’s a dive that really makes you feel like an explorer. This site is best suited for divers comfortable with depths around 40-50 metres, and we’d suggest going with a local guide who knows the currents, which can be a bit frisky sometimes. Keep an eye out for the resident moray eels near the bridge.
