Diversity Diving Center - Halkidiki
The team at Diversity Diving Center are the kind of people you instantly click with. Based out of the Acrotel Athena Pallas, they’re perfectly positioned for exploring the Kassandra peninsula’s quieter dive sites, far from the summer boat traffic. We love that they really focus on smaller groups, often just four divers per guide, which makes for a much more personal trip, especially for newer divers or those getting back into it. Our favourite dive with them has to be the Blue Hole. It’s an open-top cave, really, sunlight streaming down through the clear water, illuminating the rock walls. Inside, the water is cool, a noticeable drop in temperature, and the silence amplifies the sound of your own regulator. You’ll spot nudibranchs clinging to the walls and sometimes a sleepy octopus tucked into a crevice. We’d suggest going first thing in the morning; the light is softer, creating an almost ethereal glow. They’re also a PADI 5-Star IDC centre, so if you’re thinking of going pro, this is a solid choice. They’ve got over 45 sites nearby, which means you’re unlikely to hit the same spot twice on a week-long trip. Just be aware that some of the deeper sites can have mild currents, nothing too wild, but good to know if you’re still building confidence.
