Faro della Guardia di Ponente offers a gentle introduction to diving in the Bay of Naples. We typically drop onto a sloping rocky reef, scattered with Posidonia seagrass beds that ripple in the subtle surge. It's not a site for big pelagics, but we often spot octopuses tucked into crevices and moray eels peeking from their lairs. Look closely among the seagrass, and you'll find pipefish and tiny nudibranchs.
