Secca di Gioia - Naples & Campania
Secca di Gioia is a shallow reef, topping out at 15 metres, which sounds easy but the currents here can be a real workout. We’ve seen it calm, but more often than not, you'll be drifting along fairly quickly, making it one for experienced divers who are comfortable with the flow. Keep an eye out for octopus tucked into the crevices and schooling barracuda patrolling the edges of the reef. If you hit it on a good day, the light plays beautifully through the water, illuminating the colours of the gorgonians. It’s a fun, zippy dive when the conditions align.
