SWERVE - Naples & Campania

The SWERVE is a minesweeper that met its end in 1944, a casualty of its own dangerous work. Resting at 58 meters, it’s a dive for those comfortable with deeper profiles and potentially colder temperatures, given the Mediterranean’s thermoclines. What you’ll find is a structure well-settled into the seabed, with areas where the hull has started to open up, offering glimpses inside. Look for the resident scorpionfish camouflaged on the metal, and often, schools of smaller baitfish swirling around the superstructure. It’s a quiet, historical dive, best for divers who appreciate the sombre beauty of a war relic.
