Relitto del Kent - Ustica

The Relitto del Kent is a proper wreck dive, one we always enjoy, even if it’s a site that changes with every big storm. We’re talking about a cargo ship, sunk in the 70s, now broken into sections across a sloping seabed. You descend into the blue, and slowly, the silhouette of the bow appears first, often shrouded in schooling damselfish. What we love about the Kent is its accessibility for exploring. The holds are open, inviting you inside for a quick peek. Light filters in through cracks and openings, illuminating the occasional moray eel peeking from a pipe or a scorpionfish resting on a coral-encrusted bulkhead. Look out for the resident groupers, too. They’re usually lurking near the deeper sections of the stern, which lies a little further down the slope. We’d suggest a calm day for this one, as any surge can really kick up the silt inside. It’s a dive that rewards careful navigation and a keen eye for the smaller details.
