LADY DAVINIA - Comino

The Lady Davinia, resting at a comfortable 14 metres, is our favourite wreck in Comino for a relaxed exploration. She’s a small, dangerous wreck by classification, but the danger here comes from her age and her shallow depth rather than any real difficulty. You’ll find her broken up, scattered across the sandy bottom, which we actually prefer for photography – the light plays beautifully through the fragmented sections. What makes this wreck special, for us, is how the Mediterranean has reclaimed her. We love watching the damselfish dart in and out of the corroded plates, and the resident octopus often makes an appearance, camouflaged against the rust. Keep an eye out for nudibranchs, too – they seem to thrive on the wreck’s surface. This is a dive for anyone who appreciates the quiet beauty of a forgotten vessel, and it’s a perfect second dive of the day or for those getting comfortable with wreck diving without overhead environments. Go early if you can, before the boat traffic picks up; the calm surface makes for a much more pleasant entry and exit.
