Għar il-Katidral - Gozo

Għar il-Katidral, or Cathedral Cave, is a pretty straightforward dive, but it's got a certain charm, especially when the light hits just right. We usually drop in and follow the reef wall into the cavern itself, which opens up into a large air-filled dome. The sunbeams filtering through the entrance create some lovely shafts of light, justifying the 'Cathedral' name. It’s a good spot for seeing plenty of parrotfish and various wrasse darting around, and we've even spotted a loggerhead turtle here a few times. The real draw, though, is that play of light inside the cavern – simple, but quite effective.
