Why dive here
Hondoq is a dive where divers can encounter dolphins, ocean sunfish (mola mola) and sea turtles. Water ranges 16-28°C, warmest July, August, September.
Hondoq Bay, on Gozo's southeast coast, offers a pretty simple shore dive. You’ll find sandy patches giving way to rock formations and small caves. It’s an easy entry, making it a good spot for newer divers or for a relaxed second dive. Look for octopus tucked into crevices and schools of small bream patrolling the rocks.
