Il-Bajja tax-Xwejni - Gozo
We’ve always enjoyed a dive at Il-Bajja tax-Xwejni, especially when the other sites are busy. The entry here is easy, usually a calm walk in, which is always a bonus. Once you’re in, the reef is quite pretty, with some nice rocky formations, and we’ve often spotted dusky groupers lurking in the crevices. You’ll find patches of Bushy and Scarlet Coral too, providing some colour. It’s a good spot for seeing common Mediterranean species, like ornate wrasse and damsel fish darting around. If you take your time, you might even spot a Mediterranean slipper lobster tucked away. It’s a relaxed dive, a decent option for an afternoon bimble, especially if you’re looking for something straightforward after a more challenging morning.
