MARTA (POSSIBLY) - Gozo

We’ve heard the whispers about MARTA, and if the stories are true, this Gozo wreck is a fascinating one. At just 7 metres, it’s a site that gives you plenty of bottom time to really soak it in. This old motor vessel, a vessel of many names, has quite the history. You can feel that weight when you fin over her decks. What we love about wrecks in the shallows like this is how the light plays, casting shifting patterns through the water onto the metal. It’s a completely different vibe than a deep, dark wreck. You’ll find schools of damselfish flitting in and out of the superstructure, and the occasional curious octopus peering from a shadowed corner. Our favourite part? Cruising over the main deck and imagining the decades of voyages this ship undertook before she found her final resting place. This is a perfect dive for anyone who appreciates maritime history and wants to experience a wreck without the demands of depth.
