ROYAL LADY is a wreck dive where divers can encounter dolphins, ocean sunfish (mola mola) and sea turtles. Water ranges 16-28°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Royal Lady is a nice little stop, tucked right into the inner harbour at Mgarr. It’s a small, shallow wreck, sitting upright in about 8 metres of water, so it’s a good one for anyone just getting comfortable with wrecks or for a relaxed second dive. You’ll find schools of damselfish darting around the superstructure, and a surprising amount of nudibranchs if you take your time. Look inside the wheelhouse for small scorpionfish peeking out. It’s not a deep penetration dive, but you can poke around the deck and see how the Mediterranean has started to reclaim it.
