Xatt l-Aħmar Reef - Gozo

Xatt l-Aħmar reef offers a pleasant shore dive, often a good choice when the ferry to Comino is too busy. You'll drop onto a rocky bottom that slopes gently, dotted with patches of scarlet coral and bushy coral, and it’s a good spot to really slow down and hunt for smaller stuff. We usually find ornate wrasse flitting between the rocks, and it's not uncommon to spot a painted comber or two. Keep an eye out for slipper lobsters tucked into crevices. While it’s not a site that will blow your mind, it’s reliably decent for an easy afternoon dive.
