ATLAS - Lofoten Islands

Diving the Atlas in Lofoten is a proper deep wreck experience. This tug vessel went down in '78 after a run-in with the MV Karlshorst, and now she sits upright at 60 metres, making it a dive best suited for experienced technical divers. We’ve found the stern deck particularly interesting, with the wheelhouse largely intact and some surprising nooks and crannies to peer into. Look closely, and you’ll often spot a wolf fish or two tucked away, along with the usual cast of cold-water anemones clinging to the metalwork. It’s a somber, impressive dive, certainly not for the faint of heart or those without a solid grasp of deep diving protocols.
