Why dive here
With 116+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - Arcanzil offers some of Algarve & Berlengas's richest diving. Water sits around 17°C.
Arcanzil is a shallow, relaxed dive in the Algarve, reaching 13 metres. It's a solid choice for newer divers looking for an easy introduction to the area. Expect to see some of the usual suspects like moray eels, scorpionfish, and perhaps some cuttlefish moving slowly along the bottom. We find it's best as a second dive or for a skills refresher.
