Gruta dos Pampos in the Algarve offers a gentle introduction to cave diving, perfect if you’re curious about overhead environments but not ready for anything too complex. It’s a shallow spot, topping out at 14 metres, which makes light penetration pretty good on a sunny day. We've seen various schooling fish flitting in and out of the entrance, and the rock formations themselves are interesting enough to warrant a slow explore. It's a comfortable dive for beginners looking to dip their fins into cave exploration without any major challenges.
