Pedra da Lagoa in Algarve is a decent bet for a solid intermediate dive. Dropping to around 28 metres, it’s a site that rewards a slow exploration. We've seen a good variety of nudibranchs here, tucked away on the rocks, along with the usual suspects like octopus peering out from crevices. It’s not a drift dive, which we appreciate sometimes, allowing you to really focus on the smaller stuff. This spot suits divers looking for a relaxed bottom time without any major current challenges, a good site to refine buoyancy skills while spotting some interesting critters.
