With 116+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - Pedra do Meio offers some of Algarve & Berlengas's richest diving. Water ranges 15-19°C, warmest June, October, November.
Pedra do Meio, near the Algarve coast, offers a straightforward dive, often a solid option when conditions keep us closer to shore. It's mostly rock formations, with a few small caves and overhangs to explore. We've seen decent numbers of scorpionfish tucked into crevices and some octopus out hunting on the sand patches. It's a good spot for a relaxed dive, particularly if you’re looking to extend bottom time without strong currents.
