Pedra dos Safios - Algarve & Berlengas
Pedra dos Safios is one of those sites that demands respect, definitely for the expert diver. Dropping down to 29 metres, we often find ourselves navigating some serious current here, so good buoyancy and situational awareness are key. It’s a rock formation, no elaborate coral, but the currents often bring in some interesting pelagics, along with the usual suspects like moray eels tucked into crevices. If you’re comfortable in a bit of a washing machine and appreciate the raw power of the ocean, it’s a rewarding dive.
