Why dive here
With 116+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - Regi offers some of Algarve & Berlengas's richest reef diving. Water ranges 15-19°C, warmest June, October, November.
The Regi is a small, intact trawler sitting at 19 metres, making it a good wreck for intermediate divers. The wheelhouse is still largely there, as are some of the winches. We often spot schools of sea bream around the superstructure and moray eels tucked into the hull sections. It’s a solid second dive after a deeper wreck in the area.
