SANTA LUZIA - Algarve & Berlengas
The Santa Luzia offers a decent wreck dive off the Algarve coast. Resting at a comfortable 22 meters, it's an accessible site for most certified divers, not just the technical crowd. We've always found it a good spot for a relaxed dive, the motor vessel isn't huge, but there's enough structure to nose around. Look closely and you'll spot conger eels tucked into shadowy corners and schools of sea bream darting through the broken decks. It's a proper artificial reef now, with sponges and anemones clinging to every surface, a quiet reminder of the sea's reclaiming power.
