DIMITRIOS M - Kas & Kekova

The Dimitrios M is a classic Mediterranean wreck dive. We've always found it a gentle introduction, a good one for shaking off the dust from your gear after a bit of a break, or for getting newer divers comfortable with exploring a sunken ship. She sits shallow, just 10 metres down, which means plenty of bottom time and lots of light piercing the water, making the whole site feel accessible and bright, even on an overcast day. You can swim through her propeller and rudder easily, and the main deck area is open, offering lots of nooks for moray eels and the occasional octopus. We’ve spotted big schools of damselfish flitting around the mast, which still stands proud. Our favourite part is the engine room, surprisingly intact, with gauges still visible and a real sense of the ship's working life. It’s a photographer’s dream down there when the light is right, catching those internal details. She’s not a massive wreck, but the history is palpable and the calm conditions make for a relaxed, fascinating dive.
