Kekova Sunken City - Kas & Kekova

Kekova Sunken City isn't your typical wreck dive, and that's exactly why we rate it. It's more of an aquatic history lesson, a gentle drift over submerged Lycian ruins, where the past feels incredibly close. You’re not dropping into a deep, dark hull; instead, you’re finning through a sun-dappled mosaic of ancient walls, staircases, and even what looks like an old harbour. The depth barely touches 8 metres, making it perfect for newer divers, or even just a long, leisurely snorkel. We love the feeling of gliding over these ancient structures, imagining the lives lived here centuries ago. The light plays beautifully on the stones, illuminating the occasional cowfish pottering around. Our favourite part is spotting the perfectly preserved amphorae, still sitting where they likely fell from some long-forgotten merchant ship. It's an easy, relaxed dive, more about the story beneath you than chasing big pelagics. Go early to avoid the boat traffic; it makes all the difference for that serene, almost ghostly atmosphere.
