AMBER - Northumberland & Northeast

The Amber wreck, sitting at 39 meters, offers a solid dive for those who appreciate a bit of history beneath the waves. This steamship, scuttled by a German U-boat in 1917, is largely intact, with her hull still identifiable, though she's starting to break down in places. We’ve found her a reliable spot for spotting conger eels tucked into shadowy nooks, and the occasional crab scuttling across her decks. It’s a dive for those with decent cold water experience and an interest in early 20th-century maritime history; a good option when the conditions align.
