ATIKA - Northumberland & Northeast

The Atika, a sailing vessel, sits in a manageable 12 metres of water off the Northumberland coast. While officially listed as "dangerous," we've found it’s more about careful penetration than any major structural collapse. The bow section is the most intact part, offering a few swim-throughs where you'll often find lobsters tucked into crevices. Out on the deck, we regularly spot wrasse flitting between the ribs of the wreck, and dead man's fingers coral grow thick in patches. It’s a good, easy dive for anyone looking to spend some time exploring a classic coastal wreck, especially if you're comfortable with a bit of overhead environment.
