EMPIRE ROSA - Northumberland & Northeast

The *Empire Rosa* is a proper piece of North Sea history, sitting upright at just 13 metres. She's broken up quite a bit since she went down in '77, but the general shape of the hull is still clear. We've seen some surprisingly large Atlantic cod hanging around the deeper sections, and her exposed ribs are covered in plumose anemones, waving in whatever surge is coming through. It's an easy dive for anyone looking to get a feel for wreck diving, without the pressure of strong currents or complicated navigation. Just find a good weather window; visibility can be a bit of a lottery.
