FOUR BROTHERS (POSSIBLY) - Northumberland & Northeast

Now, the Four Brothers isn’t exactly a tropical reef, but for sheer atmosphere and a proper UK wreck dive, it’s a standout. This old schooner, lost back in 1923, sits in just 5 metres of water, making it a brilliant spot for newer wreck divers or anyone who just fancies a long, relaxed potter around history. We love that you can spend ages here, really getting to know the bones of the ship. What you’ll see is a wonderfully broken-up hull, scattered across the seabed. Think twisted metal, planks of wood, and the ghostly outline of what was once a working vessel. It’s absolutely smothered in anemones and dead man's fingers, creating these vibrant carpets of orange and white. Look closely in the nooks and crannies – we’ve spotted plenty of crabs, blennies, and even small lobsters tucked away. The visibility can be typical North Sea, so pick a calm day and ideally an incoming tide for the best chance of a clear view. It's a great spot for photographers keen on capturing that rugged, historical feel without battling depth or current.
