GLOBE TROTTER - Northumberland & Northeast

Alright, let's talk about the Globe Trotter. This isn't a deep dive, not even close, but what it lacks in depth it absolutely makes up for in character. We're talking about a fishing vessel, a proper old girl, and she's sitting right there, barely submerged, sometimes even poking a mast out at low tide. For divers, especially those of us who appreciate a good, accessible wreck with history you can almost touch, the Globe Trotter is a treat. You'll spend your time exploring her ribs and plating, all of it thoroughly colonised by local marine life. Think crabs scuttling through the gaps, shoals of blennies darting in and out, and the occasional inquisitive wrasse checking you out. Visibility can be a bit variable here, so we'd suggest picking a calm day, ideally around slack tide, to really make the most of it. It’s perfect for those longer, shallower dives where you can just potter about and really soak in the atmosphere of a wreck that’s slowly becoming part of the reef.
