IRENA - Northumberland & Northeast

The *Irena*, a yacht that went down in 1973, sits upright at 25 metres, giving us a good look at her structure. She’s not massive, but her elegant lines are still clear, with the bow pointing slightly north. We usually find crabs tucked into crevices and various wrasse darting around the mast. It’s a great dive for anyone looking to get some solid wreck time in without deep decompression obligations. There’s a decent amount of ambient light even at depth, making the swim-throughs inviting, if a bit silty if you’re not careful with your fins.
