JANE - Northumberland & Northeast

Dropping down to the Jane, you’re met with the remains of a sailing vessel that’s been on the seabed since 1929. The wreck sits upright at around 20 metres, and while time has taken its toll on the wooden structure, the hull outline is still very clear. We often find it’s home to nudibranchs clinging to what’s left of the timbers, and small crabs scuttling over the plates. It’s a good, easy dive for those looking to explore a piece of local maritime history, without battling deep currents or challenging depths.
