JANIE - Northumberland & Northeast

The *Janie*, a sailing vessel sunk after a collision with HMS *Heather* in 1918, lies in a manageable 12 metres of water off the Northumberland coast. We’ve found it’s less about grand exploration and more about appreciating the wreck's skeletal remains, which are well-encrusted with anemones and hydroids. Expect to spot plenty of crabs scuttling amongst the timbers and small fish darting in and out of the deeper crevices. It's a solid dive for those looking for a relaxed wreck potter and a taste of the North Sea's resilient marine communities.
