Newry Beach - Northumberland & Northeast

Newry Beach is a good spot for a relaxed shallow dive, particularly if you’re new to the UK's cooler waters. The maximum depth is only six metres, making it ideal for skills practice or just an easy poke around. We often find juvenile fish tucked amongst the rocks and kelp, and there are usually plenty of crabs and blennies scuttling about. It’s a gentle introduction to shore diving in the North East, usually with minimal current, and a solid choice when you just want to get wet without much fuss.
