ORIA - Northumberland & Northeast

The ORIA, a steamship built of iron in 1862, offers a solid dive for those who appreciate a bit of history. She went down in 1905 after a collision, settling upright at 19 metres. What you'll find today is a well-broken wreck, but her single boiler and engine are still recognisable, often acting as a magnet for lobsters and conger eels. We've seen some decent nudibranchs here too, tucked into the less exposed sections. It's a dive best suited for experienced wreck enthusiasts, especially given the Northumberland currents.
