PINE - Northumberland & Northeast

The PINE site off Northumberland is a decent shore dive, especially if you’re looking for something relatively shallow. The wreck itself, a steamship sunk in 1936, sits in just 2 meters of water. You can trace its 43.5-meter length across the seabed, the ribs and plating now well-broken but still giving a good sense of its original form. We've often found wrasse darting between the metalwork and crabs tucked into crevices, making it a surprisingly busy spot for macro life, even on a grey day. It’s perfect for a relaxed dive, good for photographers, or when you just want a straightforward entry and exit.
