RECIPROCITY - Northumberland & Northeast

The *Reciprocity* isn't one of those wrecks that jumps out at you with dramatic structure, but we love it for its quiet charm and the marine life it supports. This schooner, lost to fire back in '26, settled upright on the seabed at 25 metres. We find the bow section the most interesting part, still holding some shape despite nearly a century underwater. It's a fantastic spot for close-up exploration, particularly if you enjoy hunting for creatures tucked into crevices. Visibility here can be a bit of a lottery, typical for the Northeast, but when it’s good, the *Reciprocity* really shines. We’ve had dives where the deck planking is still visible, encrusted with dead man's fingers and anemones. Look for the resident lobsters and crabs, always a highlight, and the occasional wolf fish lurking in the deeper, shadowy areas. This is a dive for those who appreciate history and macro life over grand wreckage, best suited to experienced cold water divers comfortable with low visibility and potentially brisk currents. Go in late summer or early autumn for the best chance of decent conditions.
